What we are known for
Daruma Daruma is a small Japanese kitchen on West Hendon Broadway, run by a couple who cook and serve the room themselves. Sushi is made to order, the katsu curry is cooked the homemade way rather than pulled from a warmer, and the menu keeps changing as new things appear, most recently green beans in sesame sauce. The room is quiet and easy to sit in, with seven days of the same hours so there is no wrong day to come.

Seared salmon rolls, dragon rolls with grilled eel and prawn tempura, chicken katsu curry, and poke bowls over rice. There is a vegetable set and a tofu poke bowl for anyone not eating fish.

We open at midday and serve until 8.30pm, seven days a week, so lunch and an early dinner both work. Sushi is rolled after you order it, so allow a little time at the counter.
